Japan Digital Market – New Business Collaborations
Several new business collaborations came out in Japan in May. Here are 3 of them, which maybe of interests to digital marketers.
Yahoo Japan and Nihon Teradata announced their technical partnership to create the next generation data analytic. With the partnership with Teradata Labs, Yahoo Japan plans to accelerate the evolution of bid data utilization to improve services and to develop new solutions.
Zero Start and J Stream began to collaborate to develop new video advertising services for on-site search. The service lets you display product related video ads, which are triggered by search queries. Zero Start offers the product search engine, “Zero Zone Search” and the recommend engine, “Zerozone Recommend”, while J Stream offers one of the best movie distribution platform in Japan. The plan is to develop the services using “Zero Zone Search” and J Stream’s ad server.
Dentsu and Recruit HK announced their plan to collaborate in In-Bound Marketing, which targets foreign tourists and expats in Japan. In 2015, more than 19.7 million foreigners visited Japan. The total spent by foreign tourists has reached 300 million yen. The service industry targeting foreign tourists is one of the fastest growing industries in Japan. Dentsu and Recruit HK have already worked on 3 projects targeting foreigners in Japan.
